This was a group project with my classmate while studying abroad. We were tasked with creating a pop-up-shop in the atrium space of The Rinascente in Rome.
For this project we spent time focusing on learning the brand identity of LA. B (a new Italian purse brand) and translating their roots into the design. We met with the company's founder and further learned about what was important to the brand. Going into the project we knew the client wanted to focus primarily on their brand’s message of creating community for supporting women victims of violence, while still allowing the new line of products to shine.
Another key part to this project was the atrium space itself and experimenting with the unique space. We were challenged to work within the 7 story void and floor space. We experimented with the space by creating working models in which we tried different approaches. My partner and I chose to take advantage of the spaces verticality and utilize the fact that the space can be seen from every floor.

The Rinascente is an Italian luxury department store with a rich history in Rome. The Flagship store in Rome is located in the heart of the city. It’s just a short walk from the Trevi Fountain, and central to many historic landmarks and buildings that define the city. The building itself dates back to the early 20th century and was remodeled in 2017.
This retail store is located on the 4th level of the building and sits directly in front of the main escalator. It also sits on a corner of the store where it is able to be see from any different wayfinding directions
